The NAP Expo 2016 was held from 11^th to 15 ^th July 2016 in Bonn. This Expo organized by the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG) with inputs from the Adaptation Committee, the global support programmes for NAPs, and other partner organizations.

This is the fourth NAP Expo in the history. Its included many events as plenary sessions and parallel sessions, scheduled to run at the same time.

As Sri Lanka also has completed the preparation process of NAP, an invitation was extended to present the challenges and lessons learnt during the preparation process.

Accordingly, Director (Climate Change) of Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment, Dr R.D.S. Jayathunga and Environment Management Officer, Mr. Ranjith Rajapakshe participated the NAP Expo 2016.

This Expo was an appropriate platform for Sri Lanka to share the experience of NAP preparation process and to conduct a booth to showcase awareness materials on NAP as well as the "Sri Lanka NEXT: A Blue-Green Era" upcoming events in October 2016.
